Meet Shira

I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University in 2006. I am licensed in the state of New Jersey (License #4947).  My goal is to help you cope with any of life's challenges so that you can lead a healthier and more fulfilling life.

I have been in private practice since 2012. Prior to that, I have worked in many different settings, including inpatient and outpatient hospital units, university counseling centers, clinics, and group practices.  My experience includes diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychological issues, including all anxiety disorders, depression and mood disorders, relationship issues, life transitions, and trauma/loss.

My modality of therapy is a combination of psychodynamic approaches and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).  My focus is to initially provide symptom relief and then to gain a better awareness of underlying causes and triggers in order to ensure long-lasting relief of symptoms.
